Council Secretariat was established in the year 1995 to coordinate all important meetings of the Council, Zonal Officers and the HODs Meetings. Council Secretariat collect Agenda item from various Departments of the NDMC in the prescribed format, thereafter the list of business of the agendas are placed before the Council.

At least one meeting of the Council is usually arranged every month under Section 21 of the NDMC Act. The Council Secretariat Department notifies the date of the Council Meeting every month. The Council Secretariat prepares and issues Agenda, draw the draft minutes of the meeting and after approval thereof, circulates the same to the Members of the Council. After the previous minutes are confirmed in the next meeting of the Council, Resolutions are circulated to all concerned HODs for taking further necessary action. A copy of the minutes are also sent to the Secretary to the Lt. Governor/Administrator u/s 31 of NDMC Act, 1994.

 

All the council resolutions are being uploaded on NDMC website from time to time. The Council Sectt is manned by a Director duly assisted by DD and other staff. The PIO under RTI act is Dy Director (CS). The office is located in 5th floor of Palika Kendra of NDMC office.

Aims, objective and Mission/Vision of the organization as under:-

* All Council related works like.

1. Preparation of the Agenda for the Council Meetings.

2. Recording of minutes the Council Meetings.

3. Issuing of Minutes of the Council meetings.

4. Arranging Meetings of Sub-Committee under Section 9 of NDMC Act.
