New Delhi Palika Parishad Samaj Kalyan Samiti provided for a Home for senior citizens at Netaji Nagar and Bhagwan Das Lane, New Delhi. This Home fulfills a long felt need in Delhi for a place for the elders of the society, who are economically independent, but, without anyone to look after them in their twilight years. This Home provides accommodation for 52 inmates in single and double rooms with all facilities on payment of a fixed licence fee as fixed by the governing body from time to time. Sandhya:- for 52 senior citizens in 29 rooms (11 single & 18 double) one dormitory and one small room.
Aaradhna:- for 35 elderly women,(Single Searter Room & 2/3 seater room)
Facilities
Pantry, recreation room (indoor games and T.V. with cable, reading room, library), medical room for check up (facilities with ambulance) and furnished rooms. Room attendants to help the inmates in their day-to-day works.

i) Single Room Rs. 2653/-
ii) Double bedded room Rs. 1,327/-
iii) Dormitory room Rs. 1,810/-
iv) Security Deposit Rs. 8,000/- for single and Rs. 16,000/- for couple (Refundable).
AARADHNA HOME
i) Single bedded room charges Rs. 2,346/- & 2185/-
i) Double bedded room charges Rs. 1,327/- & 1431/-
ii) Security Deposit - Rs. 8,000/- (refundable).
4.
Admission forms and procedure of admission
Forms are available between 9.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. everyday at reception on payment of Rs. 25/- and can also be downloaded from www.ndmc.gov.in Submission on the same desk. Admission is on first come first served basis and on the basis of interview, on fulfillment of eligibility criteria. Time taken is subject to availability of seats.
Responsibilities of inmates
The inmates shall be responsible for the proper upkeep of the furniture and fitting etc. Any damage to these including the glass panes or electric fittings is to be made good by the residents concerned. No inmate shall remove any furniture or other fittings from the allotted places.
The rooms will be liable to inspection by the Home Authorities daily, at any time. These will also be open for inspection by the members of the Governing Body.
The inmates are required to give prior intimation to the Manager/Matron before going out of the Home. Any inmate wanting a NIGHT-STAY outside the home would be required to provide intimation to this effect along with the name and address of the person with whom he/she would be staying.
Catering arrangement will be available to the inmates on payment basis. Membership of the mess will be compulsory. Only vegetarian food and eggs will be served ordinarily.

No responsibility will be taken by the Home management for loss of cash or valuables or any other articles belonging to any inmate. They will themselves be responsible for the safety of their cash, valuables and other belongings.

Visiting hours for the guests will be from 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. daily and on Sunday and Gazetted Holidays from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon in the lounge.

Inmates are not allowed to keep pets in the premises of the home. No individual would be permitted to keep any TV/VCR or any other items as decided by the Managing Committee.

No inmate shall be allowed to use any kind of intoxicants/drugs within the premises. No intoxicant/liquor or drugs of any kind will be allowed to be brought in the home premises.

All inmates must specify a relative/next of kin residing in Delhi, who can be contacted in case of any emergency. The specified individual would be required to move the inmate from the home if prolonged and continuous medical attendance is required.

The electric appliances may be used by a resident, with the prior permission of the management on payment, like heater, heat convector, refrigerator, electric kettle, at the rate of Rs. 50/- each, which may be amended by the managing committee from time to time. Every month the licence fee along with these charges are to be deposited by the inmates through cheque (in advance) by 10th of every month. A late fee of Rs. 1.00 per day would be levied. Non-payment of dues in time would render any resident liable to have his/her admission cancelled. The governing body without any prior notice may revise these rates.

Every month the licence fee along with these charges are to be deposited by the inmates. In advance by 10th of every month. A late fee of Rs. 1.00 per day would be levied. The home provides recreational facilities as well as a reading room for the inmates. It is also planned that outings to places of interest in and around Delhi would be arranged at periodic intervals.

An inmate is a mere licencee and has no exclusive possession of the room or the seat allotted to him/her. The management and control of the home premises is with the governing body. An inmate is bound to move to any other room or seat when called upon to do so by the Manager or other competent authority of the Home.

On the same pattern a home has been provided for women senior citizen at Bhagwan Dass Lane on pay and, stay basis with room sharing arrangements having double seaters and triple seaters.

16.
A resident shall have to leave the Home on cancellation of Licence to stay due to default in payment and or on disciplinary ground regarding drunkenness and other seemly behaviour. The decision of the chairperson will be final and birding.
