TARIFF STRUCTURE (Electricity)

     It is notified for the information of general public that the New Delhi Municipal Council, in exercise of powers under section 200 of the NDMC Act, 1994 has approved the following electricity tariff for the consumers in its area from July 2009 billing cycle:-

1.

Domestic:

(a)

Light/Fan and Power (Single delivery point 2)

131 paise per unit for 0-50 units per month.

158 paise per unit for 0-100 units per month

221 paise per unit for 101-200 units per month.

315 paise per unit for 201-400 units per month.

378 paise per unit for consumption above 400 units p.m.

The above is subject to the minimum charges of:

i)

Rs. 60/- per month for load upto 1 KW.

ii)

Rs. 100/- per month for load beyond 1 KW and upto 2 KW.

iii)

Rs. 60/- per KW or part thereof per month for loads above 2 KW.

(b)

Domestic Power (on separate delivery point/meter)

131 paise per unit for 0-50 units per month

158 paise per unit for 0-100 units per month

221 paise per unit for 101-200 units per month

315 paise per unit for 201-400 units per month

378 paise per unit for consumption above 400 units per month

All other conditions as in 1(a) (i) to (iii) above.

Note:

i)

The above is subject to increase by not more than 10% advalorum to neutralize the cost escalation w.e.f. 1.4.98, for load upto 20 KW. For loads above 20 KW full FAC as applicable shall be chargeable.

ii)

The entitlement of various slabs under domestic category shall be worked out on Pro-Rata Basis depending upon the duration of the billing cycle.

2.

Non-Domestic (L.T.)

i)

462 paise per unit for one phase connections for load less than or equal to 5 KW subject to the minimum charges of Rs. 200/- KW or part thereof per month.

ii)

525 paise per unit for three phase connections for load above 5 KW subject to the minimum charges of Rs. 200/- KW or part thereof per month.

Note: Connections sanctioned for Dispensaries, Hospitals, Public Libraries, Schools run/aided by NDMC/Govt. of NCT of Delhi and such other schools as recommended by department of Education, GNCTD, places of Worship, shelters for animals, birds including Go-Sadan, Chaupals, Community Halls in rural areas and J.J.Basties/Colonies, recognized centers for Welfare of Blind, Deaf and Dumb, spastic children and physically handicapped persons, working Women Hostels run aided by NDMC/Govt. Cheshire Homes/orphanages Charitable Homes and Small Health Centres approved by Directorate of Health Services, (GNCTD) for providing Charitable services only or any other similar establishment as may be approved by the NDMC shall be billed at domestic category rates with associated benefits provided such premises are being used exclusively for the specified purpose.

Mixed Load (H.T.):

For loads above 100 KW (other than industrial load for lighting, fan, heating and powers appliances in domestic/non-domestic establishments
Supply on 11 KV- 637 paise per unit subject to minimum charges of Rs. 176/- per KW or part thereof per month.

Supply on L.T. where Applicant provides built Up space for S/S.

: As above + 10%

Supply on L.T. (400 V) From NDMC S/S

:764 paise per unit subject to minimum charges of Rs. 235/- KW or part thereof per month.

Note: Connections sanctioned for Dispensaries, Hospitals, Public Libraries, Schools run aided by NDMC/Govt. of NCT of Delhi and such other schools as recommended by department of Education, (GNCTD). Places of Worship, shelters for animals, birds including Go-Sadan, Chaupals, Community Halls in rural areas and J.J. Basties/Colonies recognized centers for Welfare of Blind. Deaf and Dumb, spastic children and physically handicapped persons, working Women Hostels run/aided by NDMC/Govt. Other conditions, demand charges, FAC etc. remaining the same as that of other mixed load (H.T.) loads.

Small Industries Power

431 paise per unit subject to minimum charges of Rs. 200/- per KW or part thereof per month.

5.

Large Industrial Power

Supply on 11 KV

:

471 Paise per unit subject to minimum charges of Rs 175 KW or Part thereof per month.

Supply on L.T. (400V)

:

610 paise per unit subject to minimum charges of Rs. 235 NDMC system. KW or part thereof per month.

6.

Temporary Surcharge

i)

All other conditions remaining the same as in corresponding category of permanent supply the tariff shall be higher by 50% of the relevant category of tariff.

ii)

In case temporary supply is for a total period of less than 16 days, the minimum charges will be charged at 50% of the relevant category of the temporary connections. All other conditions will remain the same as at (i) above and for a total period more than or equal to 16 days, the minimum charges will be same as that of relevant category. All other conditions will remain the same as at (i) above.

iii)

The temporary connection provided for religious social function of traditional and established character like Ramleela, Dushehra festival, Janmashtmi, Nirankari Sant Samagam, Guru Purav, Durga Puja, Id, Christmas, celebration of Easter Pageant etc. shall be billed at the domestic category of tariff without any temporary surcharges as mentioned above.

iv)

For major construction projects the minimum charges will be same as that of relevant category and the tariff shall be same as that of relevant category with temporary surcharge.

 

The above shall be available for temporary connection given normally for a period of 3 days and extendable upto 10/30 days at the discretion of NDMC.

7.

J.J.Basti

i)

Rs. 15/- per point/month for residential use subject to minimum charges of Rs. 30/- per month. Bijli card registration fee Rs. 300/-.

ii)

Rs. 50/- per point/month for non domestic use subject to minimum charges of Rs. 100/- per month. Bijli card registration fee Rs. 1000/-.

8.

Street Lighting

242 PAISE PER UNIT

Note:

i)

In case of any adjustment later on in the electricity tariff by Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission. The tariff applicable to the consumers in NDMC area will be amended accordingly.

Explanatory Notes :-

 

i)

For all categories other than Domestic, Fixed/Demand charges are to be levied on sanctioned load or MDI reading, whichever is higher, on per kW or part thereof basis. Where the MDI reading exceeds contract demand by more than 5%; a surcharge of 30% shall be levied on the fixed/demand plus energy charges for such billing cycle only.

ii)

The entitlement of various slabs under domestic category shall be worked out on pro-rate basis depending upon the duration of the billing cycle.

iii)

The incumbent shall be entitled for a rebate of 2.5% on the energy charges on 11 kV rates for availing 3 phase supply on 33/66 kW and 4% for supply at 220 kV.

iv)

For Industrial consumers having valid NDMC licensee.

v)

Tariffs for Northern Railways Traction are based on the supply being given through a single delivery and metering point at single voltage. An additional capacity blockage charges are also applicable to be calculated as Rs 1260 x (2.97A + 5) where A is contract/maximum demand, whichever is higher, in MVA subject to a minimum of Rs 25000/-

vi)

The simultaneous maximum demand, for all metering points, shall be considered for levying demand violation charges.

vii)

The rates stipulated in the Schedule are exclusive of electricity tax and other taxes and charges, as levied from time to time by the Government or any other competent authority, which are payable extra.

viii)

All surcharges shall be levied on the basic tariff applicable to the category of use or category of sanction, whichever has higher tariff.

xi)

In the event of the electricity bill rendered by the licensee, not being paid in full within the time specified on the bill, a surcharge @1.5% on the principal amount of bill which has not been paid shall be levied for each 30 days successive period or part thereof until the payment is made in full without prejudice to the right of the licensee to disconnect the supply after due date in the event of non-payment in accordance with section 56 of Electricity Act, 2003. This will also apply to temporary connections, where payment of final bill amount after adjustment of consumption deposit, is not made by due date.

x)

Wherever the fixed/demand/energy charges are specified in Paisa per kVah, for the purpose of billing the kVah as read from the meter shall be used.

     Further any amendment in the notified tariff by DERC will also be made applicable mutatis mutandis to the consumers of NDMC. Secretary.


Tariff Structure (Water)
