Citizen's Responsibilities


The Commercial Department deals with revenue realisation on account of electricity/water supplied to consumers. Consumption of electricity/water is metered. Readings are taken and recorded by Meter Readers/Meter Inspectors every month. The consumption is computerized and bills are sent to consumers.

1. For Electricity Connections for Govt. Flats/others

a. Application Form for Reconnection of Electricity (Form Enclosed)

b. Photocopy of the allotment letter.

c. Connection fee @Rs. 800/ KW by bank draft in favour of Secretary, NDMC or Guarantee Form in the case of Central Govt. Employees.

2. For Filtered Water Connection (Security Deposit)

  1. Size ½” – Rs. 1020/each/ By Bank Draft in favour of Secretary, NDMC.
  2. Size ¾” – Rs. 1690/each/ By Bank Draft in favour of Secretary, NDMC.

Or

Guarantee Form in the case of Central Govt. Employees

3. For Disconnection of Electricity and Water Connection for Govt. Flats/others

  1. Application Form for Disconnection (Form Enclosed)
  2. Copy of the last bill paid.

The connection and disconnection is carried out by the C&D Branch of the Commercial Department.

For private premises, electricity and water connections & disconnections are done by AE (Meters) North & South & Meter work shop and Water is done by EE(water supply)
