SEWER CONNECTIONS :

1.

Supply of application form

Every working day between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Place in Room No. 202

2.

Acknowledgement of application

Immediately after receipt of application.

3.

Intimation to applicant in case of deficiency in application

Within two weeks

4.

Supply of challan for depositing connection fee

Within one month of receipt of application complete in all respects

5.

Depositing fees in municipal treasury

By applicant on all working day between 9.00 a.m. & 2.00 p.m.

6.

Issue of sanction letter

Within one week of depositing fees

7.

Road cut permission

Within two weeks

COMPLAINTS (WILL BE ATTENDED):

1.

Blockage of sewer line

Within 4 to 24 hours.

2.

Overflowing of sewer line

Within 4 to 24 hours.

3.

Repair of damaged sewer line of minor nature.

Within 1 to 24 hours.

SEWERAGE CONNECTION:

1. Application for sewerage connection may be made in prescribed proforma to Executive Engineer (Sewerage) on any working day.

2. Deficiencies in application will be intimated within two weeks from date of application.

3. Feasibility of providing connection will be checked by JE/AE of concerned sewerage division within one week.

4. Inter departmental clearances from Chief Architect and Tax Department within one month. Feasibility report along with relevant technical details will be considered/approved/rejected by Chief Engineer (Civil-I) and communicated to applicant within two months.

5. Consumer will be required to obtain challan from EE (Sewerage) for billed amount and deposit the charges in the Municipal Treasury, Palika Kendra between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on any working day.

6. Copy of receipt should be submitted by consumer to EE (Sewerage) who will issue sanction order within one week.

7. After receiving sanction letter, consumer will obtain road cut permission from SW-III in respect of service roads/back lane and for main road from S.W.- I, Palika Kendra.

8. Consumer will thereafter connect the service line through licensed plumber under intimation to/supervision of EE (Sewerage).

9. Maintenance of service line through licensed plumber up to municipal sewer will be the responsibility of consumer.

DRAINAGE:

1.

De-silting

2.

Removal of blockage

Will be attended same day

3.

Repair of drains

• Minor repairs - same day
• Major repairs – according to a time bound programme

STORM WATER DRAINS

The main problems in storm water drains may be due to:

1. Blockage of drains due to dumping of malba, tree leaves, plastic bags, and other garbage.

2. Water-logging in rainy season.

3. Missing manhole covers or theft of gully gratings.

4. Embedding of gully gratings and manhole covers.

5.For providing immediate relief to the complaints of citizens, NDMC operates following three main control rooms:-
