at an estimated cost of Rs.50.00 Lacs each.

Palika Suvidha
Kendra (CFC) at S.B.S.Place, Gole
Market has been set up.
Redevelopment of Janpath
Markets includes Tibetan, Road berm, Mini Market
having total cost of Rs.2 Crores.
Schools
Renovation and
upgradation of various schools.
A new Navyug School,
DIZ Area, Mandir Marg is
under construction at an estimated cost of Rs.4.80 Crore. The work is likely to be completed by June in
2007.
NDMC in collaboration with BALA and UNICEF is
presently improving 10 NDMC Schools having total cost of Rs.50.00 Lacs and in
the future all schools of NDMC would be taken for improvement.
Rain Water Harvesting.
NDMC has encouraged and implemented various
rainwater harvesting in open areas as well as rooftops of buildings.
Fire Safety.
Fire prevention and fire safety measures have
been provided in a number of NDMC Buildings.
Fire Safety regulations are being complied with in all NDMC School
and Navyug Schools in accordance with the
guidelines issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
Civil Engineering Support to Welfare Projects.
Special schemes for
SC/ST relating to improvement in living conditions of the Harijan
Bastis.
Improvements of Dhobi
Ghats.
32 new quarters for Safai
Karamcharies are under construction in Harijan Basti.
Three new Recreation Centres
for senior citizens have been established at Bhagwan Dass
Lane, Kidwai nagar and basement of Sandhya at Netaji Nagar.
Renovation of Child
welfare Centre, Babar Road.
Construction of
multipurpose hall for quarters at XY Block and Type-II Quarters at Laxmi Bai Nagar
have been completed.
Parks and Gardens.
Horticulture works completed in Primary
School, Kitchner
Road and Middle School, Moti
Bagh. A number
of improvement works at Talkatora Garden
have been undertaken.
Hospital.
Renovation of administrative Block and
Operation theatre has been carried out at Charak Palika Hospital,
Moti Bagh.
The construction of 50 bedded Maternity Hospital and staff quarters at Kitchner road is almost complete.
Addition/alteration has also be carried out in the Veterinary Hospital
in Moti Bagh.
Upgradation of
external area of Race Course Road,
New Delhi including parking for
VIPs at an estimated cost of Rs.4.50 Crores.
Construction, operation and maintenance of 197
BQS on BOT Basis
75 BQS have been completed and work is in
progress in balance BQS.
Roads.
Constant renovation of roads is carried out to
ensure a smooth ride.
Strengthening & Resurfacing
of roads in NDMC area by Hot Mix Technology and by micro- surfacing Technology.
MISSION

Construction of 96 Staff Quarters at Pushp Vihar, Saket and about 400
Flats in Dwarka.
Improve and renovate markets
Improve facilities in Barat
Ghars. Initially Barat Ghars at Kaka Nagar and Moti Bagh have been taken up
Special care shall also be taken to improve
facilities in Dhobi Ghats, Schools, Old Age Homes, Women Hostels etc.
Upgradations in the local dispensaries,
Maternity Hospitals
and Charak
Palika Hospitals
shall be taken up
Improve complete road infrastructure in
NDMC area. Improvement to major roads,
pavements, roundabouts, lane-by lanes and drainage is being planned in three
phases commencing from 2007-08 and completing in 2011-12.
